auf seine gr\u00fcn goldenen Wellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Auf die Wasser, die f\u00fcr uns zum funkeln gebracht<\/p>\n\n\n\n
werden von Sonnenstrahlen, den eben noch grau<\/p>\n\n\n\n
verhangenen Regenhimmel durchbrechend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L\u00e4dt uns ein auf seine F\u00e4hre, die geruhsam<\/p>\n\n\n\n
gleited, so tief im Wasser, wir k\u00f6nnen es ber\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unbeirrt vom vor\u00fcberrauschenden Verkehr<\/p>\n\n\n\n
pendelt sie, die Nachenf\u00e4hre seit 1879<\/p>\n\n\n\n
zwischen den Ufern, vorbei am Pegel der Engelsburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Befreit uns, gefangen auf der falschen Seite des Stromes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
die bislang achtlos an diesem Ort vorr\u00fcbereilten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nimmt uns geduldig mit auf seiner F\u00e4hre,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00fcber seine unergr\u00fcndlich tiefen Wasser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So wie sie seit Jahrhundeten bereits die Menschen<\/p>\n\n\n\n
von jenem Ufer auf das andre hin\u00fcberholt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rhine invites us, down here in the river valley,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
surrounded by the Slate Mountain Range,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
onto his golden green streams’ waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The water now diamond like shimmering<\/p>\n\n\n\n
awoken by sun rays breaking through the rainy grey sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Invites us onto its ferry bark –<\/p>\n\n\n\n
gliding quietly deep in the water, so deep we can touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Undeterred by the traffic of the 21st century rushing alongside<\/p>\n\n\n\n
travels the boat back and forth, the Nachenferry, since 1879,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
bypassing the water depth gauge at the Engelsburg,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and frees us, captivated at the wrong side of the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Us – bypassing carelessly this location until now<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to carry us patiently over the fathomless deep waters,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
as it is taking mankind over from that bank to the other<\/p>\n\n\n\n
